1. The Future of the 80s
What is this, an episode of the Jetsons? Buildings are shaped like flying saucers, foods can be found in little nutrient pills of various flavors, and holograms have replaced most forms of entertainment-related technology. Be wary of any glowing beverages, and the Management apologizes if you find yourself with any cybernetic body parts. Sometimes the surgery records get mixed up.

2. Rotten apple
Someone ate something they shouldn't have. The world is such a strange place, it's hard to say what's safe and what isn't. But that fruit looked so good, you just couldn't resist, could you? Too bad nobody warned you that side-effects may include odd behavior, hallucinations, temporary physical changes, or queasiness.

3. Are you afraid of the dark?
It's well past your curfew, shouldn't you go home? Even the moon and stars are hiding at this hour. There's nothing out here but you and the luna moths hovering by the street lamps. So who said that? Did you see something move out of the corner of your eye? That's your friend you just bumped into, right? ...Right?

4. It's a dog's life
Or a duck's, or a snake's, or a bat's. Pandora is a safari and you are now a critter. Better hope you're high on the food chain or that your friends can ignore the urge to eat you. While this place is such a zoo, you can bet someone will be up to fowl play.

[ Ooo, nighttime! How scary! Except not, because Jubilee is the actual thing that goes bump in the night, here!

Man, being a vampire is only cool as long as you forget you are one. Which... is pretty much never. Normal people are in bed at night, not creeping around in the dark and feeling like they're going to devour the first person who crosses their path! ]

[Except for certain wayward mage girls who can't seem to stay where they're supposed to. Jubilee may go bump in the night, but does she bump into things that bump in the night?]

[ Jubilee laughs, barring pointed teeth at the other gal. ]

Hey, it's totes cool! I wasn't really looking where I was going. You alright, chica?

[Teeth, right. Waver stares at the other girl for a moment, then scratches her head.]

Well, I wasn't either. But I'm fine, thank you.

Sweet. I'm Jubilee, by the way.

What are you doing out this time of night anyway?

Waver. My mates are obnoxious and I couldn't sleep. You?

You could say I'm allergic to sunlight.

Sucks about your friends, though. You live with them?

[Doesn't ping her as a Dead Apostle, and so the conclusion is obvious. She must be one of those American goth Wicca things.]

That's... unfortunate. And it's against the law to not stay with at least a couple of other people, so for now I'm really sort of obligated.

And you're out here trying to find some peace and quiet. I getcha. Nighttime's good for that.

Exactly. My situation is... complicated, so this is really the only time of day when I can go out and be sure to avoid a headache or two.

Do I even wanna know?

[ Another laugh. ]

Either way, now you're here with me, and as long as I'm around I'm going to do my best to make this a headache-free zone for you! Anything you want to do while we're out?

[Dryly:] Probably not.

[And then she blinks and raises a brow, arms crossing over her chest. She is CAUTIOUS AND SUSPICIOUS and not blushing or anything like that why would you even think so gosh--]

Terribly friendly, aren't you?

[ Man, she didn't want to come off as a creeper or anything. She's just lonely. ]

Well, I don't get to socialize much these days.

[She's all pretty and chipper and upbeat and pretty and don't boys like that? Waver thought boys like that.]

Er, that is-- I don't either. Um, or ever, actually.

I used to be a mallrat. Then stuff happened.

I doubt much is open this time of night. Wanna get a bite to eat?
