1. The Future of the 80s
What is this, an episode of the Jetsons? Buildings are shaped like flying saucers, foods can be found in little nutrient pills of various flavors, and holograms have replaced most forms of entertainment-related technology. Be wary of any glowing beverages, and the Management apologizes if you find yourself with any cybernetic body parts. Sometimes the surgery records get mixed up.

2. Rotten apple
Someone ate something they shouldn't have. The world is such a strange place, it's hard to say what's safe and what isn't. But that fruit looked so good, you just couldn't resist, could you? Too bad nobody warned you that side-effects may include odd behavior, hallucinations, temporary physical changes, or queasiness.

3. Are you afraid of the dark?
It's well past your curfew, shouldn't you go home? Even the moon and stars are hiding at this hour. There's nothing out here but you and the luna moths hovering by the street lamps. So who said that? Did you see something move out of the corner of your eye? That's your friend you just bumped into, right? ...Right?

4. It's a dog's life
Or a duck's, or a snake's, or a bat's. Pandora is a safari and you are now a critter. Better hope you're high on the food chain or that your friends can ignore the urge to eat you. While this place is such a zoo, you can bet someone will be up to fowl play.

The Hell. This is just straight-up bonkers. Hah, reminds me of . . . uh . . . shit, actually doesn't really remind me of anything. This what the moon city looks like? Somehow I thought it'd be more . . . I dunno, pompous.

Yeah, guess if we were we'd probably see the Earth, right? Still, though, it's crazy. You ever seen anything like this? Hah, and speakin' of "ever seeing anything like this," wow. I can usually tell pretty well when someone's gonna kick it, but looking at you is totally throwing me off. What's up there?

[Aradia puts a finger to her lips and makes a thoughtful noise.]

You could say I tried it and didn't like it very much.

Haha, one of those, huh? My boss wouldn't be happy to hear that, not happy at all. But it's cool, I won't tell on ya or anything. Less work for me at the end of the day, and that's nothin' to complain about!

Dunno about that. She'd probably think that was just an excuse for avoidin' your natural time, though I admit I've got no idea what you're . . . what your whole deal even is. Maybe it's somethin' she'd get.

Sounds like a good time to me! I'm Aradia and I actually do something very similar. What a coincidence!

Hah, that so? That's funny! You think a bunch of people here are about to die or somethin'? Maybe that's why we're here.

I can't sense any death at all. Isn't that strange? I was starting to think it might just be me.

*Lookin' around* Huh . . . now that you mention it, you're not the only one who's throwin' me off in that department. Yeah, that's way weird.

It seems to be a city that is much more futuristic in its concept. There is no city in our world that is of this style that I know of.

Pretty crazy! So . . . if this isn't our world, how do you suppose we got here . . . ?

I cannot guess for you, but for my own experience, I can only presume that it had something to due with that... curious box.

Oh, right, the box! I was half-asleep when I opened--*no no wait.* I mean, uh, I was in the middle of getting a big line of spirits over the river, and it ended up in my boat somehow, so I kicked it open by mistake.

[ :| Don't lie to her. That earns Komachi a smack with the Rod of Remorse, yep. ] You should pay more attention to your surroundings, Komachi. That much I have told you already. However... it seems I have become susceptible to the same effect of that box. At least we can safely determine that this is a coincidence. We must find one more person who has been brought to this city by a similar box to begin to describe it as a pattern.

*o-owwwww* Sorry, sorry, I'll be more careful! I'll start bein' more careful right away--I'll pay careful attention to this place! And I totally agree, we should explore--I mean, ah, look for someone else who came here the way we did.

[ She withdraws her trademark beat-yo-head-off stick to cross her arms. ] Have you gotten to look around yet to attempted to return to Gensokyo at all? I have done the latter already, to no avail.

Ah . . . not really. Been more focused on the "lookin' around" part so far. This city's big, too, I can't really see any obvious way out.

[ She pauses for a moment, pursing her lips in thought. ] We must first gather as much information as possible and speak with others, and see if any of the natives here have any information. I expect to have your full cooperation in this, so I would like to know if your distance ability has worked at all in moving out of the city. [ Her own ability to just, you know, warp out of an area is gone-- at least from this place. ]

*Salutes* 'Course I'll lend a hand! But, ah, yeah, about that . . . I tried reducin' the distance between where I was to the edge of the city to a single pace. Nothin' doing.
